Acknowledgement Flights, Travel & Accommodations For all events requiring travel, please be sure to be aware of the following 1) The schedule for every competition is subject to change. For most events, our dojang will require athletes to arrive 2 days before the first day of competition. As the competition may end in the evening, athletes are not permitted to depart until the morning after all events are concluded. 2) Barring extenuating circumstances, athletes and their guardians will be required to stay at the host hotel for all the competition event days. For days before and after the competition, families are permitted to have alternative accommodations. 3) We do not recommend that families book their flight or accommodations prior to our dojang confirming the travel schedule for our competition team. However, for families that wish to reserve flights and accommodations before our schedule is announced, it would be advisable to reserve ones that allow for cancellation or alterations. * I have read and understand the information about flights, travel and accomodations Registration for GAL and Competition Events 1) GAL RegistrationGlobal Athlete Licenses are required for all black belt competitors. The dojang will create and co-manage the account and new registrations may take up to 30 days to be completely registered. 2) GAL RenewalReturning athletes my renew their GAL in advance or request the dojang to process the renewal request for them. Note that this will require a credit card on file to consent for the charge. 3) Competition RegistrationAfter confirming all our team’s athletes and their associated event registration, the coaching staff will begin the registration process in your co-managed Simply Compete Account. All Pair and Team designations will be decided by our coaching staff * I have read and understand the information about the global athlete license and registration for the competition Coaching Fee & Travel Subsidy 1) For all Nationals and International events, our dojang requires a Coaching Fee and a Travel Subsidy for any coaching staff at the event. Please note that only coaches certified by Taekwondo Canada and with valid Dojang Coach or Performance Coach certification will be subsidized. a. The Travel Subsidy will be halved when coaching staff will also be competing at the competition themselves.
